PAKISTANI ELECTIONS IN OCTOBER 2012 : PRIMEMINISTER GILANI SAYS


ISLAMABAD: (AP): December 18: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said, “Our government was established on an internationally recognized democratic system by general elections and by the free, fair and transparent polling in 2008, in which allthe people of the country voted us in majority to elect their representative,hence our government has no threat to be deraled from democratic process.” He said while talking to AP today, “Pakistan is a country which has strong democracy and wehave proved that the democracy has got flourished,strengthened and prospered in the country due to the efforts of the lovers of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.”
Prime Minister Gilani said, “Our government behaved and dealt with fair and equal treatment with everyone which led the people to claim their rights and everyperson was free to take part inmaking decisions, giving suggestions to the government and to fight for justice and ddemocracy.”
He further said, “General Elections will be held in time probably in October 2012 but the Senate Elections will be held on its scheduled time in March 2012.”
He said, “Conspiracies against the nationalsecurity and democracy in Pakistan which had been failed by the policies of the current government. President Asif Ali Zardari has stareted to lookafter the matters of the state from his Dubai Presidential Camp and he will arrive soon on doctors advise but he will possibly deliver his telephonic speech orvideo coference from Dubai on December 27 in Larkana’s annual ceremony of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto if the doctors would allow him to travel.”
